Each woman made a quilt and passed it down to her eldest daughter, along with any quilts she might have gotten as eldest daughter. Then her daughter has to do they same. My mom has 5 or 6 beautiful quilts that were passed down to her, but luckily, she never made a quilt, so I'm probably off the hook. I love the textures and colors, but I am a horrible seamstress, and have little patience, so I suspect quilting isn't for me. But I sure love to look. My mother’s line has a long history of quilting.
